This is one of the zaniest holiday traditions I have ever seen. Each year on Kwajalein, Santa Clause pays a special visit to the children. Contrary to folklore, he doesn’t arrive on a sleigh, or even on a canoe. Nope, Scuba Santa appears from the depths of the Kwajalein lagoon, wearing a full Santa suit and scuba gear. His trusty elves are there to carry a glow-stick-clad Christmas tree out of the sea. Once on shore, they pass out candy to the children.
